Spiritual Meet
Spiritual Meet was organized for the prisoners of Central Jail, Jabalpur on 23 March, 1 997. Rev. U. K. Singh, Mrs. R. M. Sahayam, Francis Joseph, Daisy Anthony, Usha Francis, Dr. Sachidanand and Bro. Prem Prakash Indervar shared their thoughts with the inmates inspiring and consoling them with hopes of a new life.

Ghajal Night

Ghajal Night at CARAVAS was held on April 26, 1997.On this occasion the Mufti-e-Azam of Madhya Pradesh, Maulana Mehmood Ahmad Kadn released the audio cassette of CARAVAS named: ‘Mahima ke Masiha’ (Glorious Christ). Dr. Ehsan Masih, Francis David, Rupa Flansda. Dr. llarivansh Bhatia, Joseph Luther Hivalay, Junius Nijami, Reggie David, Dr. B. Sachidanand, [)r. Vidya Rashmi and Dr. Sudhir Nelson enthrilled the audience with their recitation of Christian Ghazals.

Golden Jubilee of Independence

Golden Jubilee of Independence was celebrated on August 10, 1997 at Sneh Sadan. On behalf of the Christian community of Jabalpur Bishops Gerald Almeida and Retired Bishop Theophane, 0’ Praem of the Catholic Diocese of Jabalpur, and CNI Bishop Sunil Kak presented shawls and honoured renowned freedom fighters like Shyam Sunder Bareria, Mahesh Dutt Mishra, Narayan Prasad Sharma, Satyendra Prasad Mishra, Ram Gopal Soni and Mrs. H. Robert Hatey Singh. The Vice Chancellor of Jabalpur University, Prof. J. P. Shukla addressed the gathering.

The Old Age Home
The Old Age Home at Medical College was visited by the members of CWF in September 2000. to commemorate Mother Teresa’s Anniversary. They distributed fruits to the leprosy patients and aged inmates of the home.

Blessed Teresa’s Feast
Blessed Teresa’s Feast was celebrated at Anand Bhavan. Rev. P. B. Lal welcomed the guests. The Chief Guest, Bishop Gerald Almeida, garlanded the portrait of Blessed Teresa. Sister Marianand, Superior, Missionary Sisters of Charity, recited the opening prayer. In his address Bishop Almeida said that Blessed Teresa was a living symbol of service. Filled with the love and mercy of Jesus Christ she undertook the hardious task of alleviating the physical suffering of the poor. The bishop urged the faithful to serve the weaker section of the society with greater commitment. He gave a cheque of rupees 1000/- to the Missionary Sisters of Charity. The CWF distributed fruits among the children and elderly inmates. Those contributing to the success of the day were: Manish Charles, Mrs. R. M. Sahayam, Joseph Luther Hivalay, Julius Nijami, Dr.
B. Sachidanand, Renu Claren, Mrs. Helen Locker, Mrs. Maya Fernandez, Dr. Jitendra Parsadi, Francis Joseph, Rev. P. B. La!, Christopher Xalco and Robert Francis.
