CWF’s First Commemorative, ‘Arpan’
CWF’s First Commemorative, ‘Arpan’ was released on May 3, 1998 in the Conference Hall of Bible Society, Napier Town by Bishop Sunil Kak of the CNI Diocese of Jabalpur. Dr. Sudhir Nelson ‘Kshitij’ senior leader of Bhartiya Janata party took part in the function. Addresses of Media Institutes and writers have been included in the commemorative.
A Correspondence Course was conducted at Sneh Sadan for a fortnight in the month of October, 1998 under the aegis of Catholic Hindi Literature Committee with the assistance of CWF and Jabalpur Correspondents’ Union. 65 candidates from Satna, Raipur, Raigarh, Ambikapur, Jagdalpur and Jabalpur received intensive training in this camp and were awarded certificates. Bishop Gerald Almeida, Bishop Theophane, 0’ Praem, Fr. Peter Selvan, Mr. Ganga Pathak and Mr. Francis Joseph provided special assistance and guidance to the camp.

Jabalpur Christian Telephone Directory 2002 was published after getting due permission from the community in August 2001. The hardious task was completed with the active participation and cooperation of all the bishops, pastors, CWF President, Rev. U. K. Singh, Secretary, Francis Joseph, members, Mrs. R. M. Sahayam, Mr. George Francis, Miss Amelia
Nazareth, Miss Margaret Paul, Vijay Maravi, Reggie David, Sanjay Mathews and Manish Charles. The directory contains useful and valuable illustrated information of churches in Jabalpur besides telephone numbers and addresses of churches in the districts of Katni, Shahdol, Umaria, Reeva, Satna, Balaghat, Swni, Narsinghpur, Sagar, Damoh, Bina, Mandla and Dindori. The Directory has been specially lauded by the Christian community because it has helped its members to remain united and to establish speedy contact with one another in this age of communication.

Book and CD of first Adivasi priest, Ronald Keram were released in June 2003 by Bishop Gerald Almeida during a solemn ceremony at the Grotto of Holy Mary, St. Thomas’ School. Addressing the gathering on this occasion Bishop Gerald emphasized the need to render selfless service to all humanity and ferqently asked the faithful to foster religious vocation. He expressed great joy and satisfaction that the book was being released on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Diocese of Jabalpur. Bishop Gerald Fr. Ronald for courageously facing great challenges and accepting Christ. President of CWF, Rev. U. K. Singh and Secretary, Mr. Francis Joseph presented him a shawl, fruit and address of tribute. Others honouring the priest were: Manish Charles, Mrs. R. S. Sahayam, Sanjay Mathews, Mrs. Daisy Anthony, Mrs. Angela Joseph, Mrs. Jyoti Mathews, Dominic Nazareth and Reggie David.
Reggie David’s satire “Tedi Muskan”
Reggie David’s satire “Tedi Muskan” was released at Jabalpur on September 1, 2005 by
Fr . Joseph and Manish Charles. The book had already been released earlier at Bhopal by
Archbishop Pascal Topno. Mr. Reggie David is an accomplished satirist of the community, a
senior member of CWF and Editor-in- Chief of the monthly magazine “Sankalp”.
Writers Forum releases Christians Directory 2007
Jabalpur, January 2 1st, 2007. THE Madhya Pradesh Christian Writers’ Forum on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary, released the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Christians Directory, 2007. The programme was organised at Disciples Church of Christ, CNI Church, Nagrath Square. Bishop of Jabalpur Catholic Diocese, Gerald Almeida was the chief guest while MLA Loraine B Lobo was the special guest on the occasion. The directory has been published for the first time which encapsulates the background of christianity and spread of catholic and protestant christianity in the country. The history of famous churches and christian institutions is also highlighted in the directory. Further, it contains information about christian writers,journals and magazines and organisations working for the protection of rights of the minority communities. Releasing the directory amidst a round of applause, Bishop Gerald Almeida said that writers are the building blocks of the society. They ought to shoulder their moral duties with more responsibility and commitment, he stressed. The programme began with recital of prayers by the Bishop. Thereafter, members of the Forum presented a song expressing their gratitude to the Almighty. Teresa Rodrigues and Victor Francis read out chapters from the Holy Bible. The Forum members presented another devotional song. Presenting the annual report mentioning activities carried out by the Madhya Pradesh Christian Writers’ Forum, Secretary Francis Joseph said that the Forum strives to work as a platform for getting writers together. Till now, he said, the Forum has taken ten steps in this direction. During the time, various social, cultural, literary and media related activities were carried out.
The Forum has spread its wings in many cities of the State, he added.
Vijay Maravis' poetry collection released
July 2008 TUMHARE Liye, a poetry collection of Vijay Maravi 'Rahi', was released by Dr. Rajkumar Tiwari 'Sumitra' in a peaceful ceremony held on sunday.
Secretary of Christion Writers Fourm Francis Joseph accorded a warm welcome to all invitees and informed that the Fourm which was started 11 years back, organises various programmes to promote creativity in literature field, ''Tumhare Liye'' is the eigth book of organisation.
In This book Vijay Maravi has expressed about the feelings of a poet in a simple and convicing manner. On this occasion Chief Guest Dr. Rajkumar Tiwari, President P.B. Lal, Teasurer Vijay Maravi and Founder member Dr. B sachidanand were persent. It may be mentioned that Dr. Rajkumar has been associated with the literature field since 1952 and has also worked as a journalist in 1954
He was invited as key note speaker in International Hindi Committee
in England and New York. Sumitra has written various poetries including Sambhavana ki fasal, Yaado ke Nagpase, Cahru chinten sai Naam salona, Ambe Kahu Jagdambe and other works.
Poetry Collection, essay, devotional compositions, children books have also been written and published.
