United Christian Educational Forum, M. P.
United Christian Educational Forum, M. P. was established in February, 2003 by Mr. Francis Joseph on the basis of his experiences in the CWF. This forum of Christian educational institutions bears an inter-denominational character to meet all emerging situations and problems unitedly.
Meeting of United Christian Educational Forum
Meeting of United Christian Educational Forum was held at CARAVAS in July 2005 to streamline the educational efforts of Christian institutions of the town. Bishop Gerald Almeida of the Catholic Diocese of Jabalpur, CNI Bishop Dr. P. C. Singh, Methodist Bishop Taranath Sagar, Mrs. L. B. Lobo, M. L. A., Francis Joseph, Dr. Panka Toppo and Rev. Cyril Cornelius gave necessary tips and guidence to Managers and Principals for the proper development and progress of educational institutions.
Justice M. S. A. Siddiqui, Chairman National Minority Education Commission
Justice M. S. A. Siddiqui, Chairman National Minority Education Commission visited Jabalpur with Mr. Rangnath, Secretary of the Commission on October 25, 2005. Representative of the Sikh community had a productive meeting with him at Khalsa School. Justice Siddiqui had discussions with Bishop Gerald Almeida and representatives of the Catholic community at Bishop’s House the same evening. The following morning he attended a meeting at St. Thomas’ School Auditorium where Bishop Gerald Almeida, Dr. Davis George, Dr. Panka Toppo, Sohan Singh Reelh, D. C. Jain, Fr. Thangachan Jose, Fr. Anand Muttangal Sr. Rosalin, Francis Joseph,
N. K. Boro, Mrs. Tanu Cornelius, Fr. Benjamin Francis and Bro. Cyriak Francis had fruitful discussions with him. The Christian community voiced its views on article 30 of the Indian Constitution demanding sufficient safety and protection. Bishop Gerald proposed that a comprehensive law be enacted that would be binding on the Centre, the States and the Universities. Justice Siddiqui maintained that there are sufficient guarantees under the Indian Constitution to protect and safeguard the rights of minorities. Under article 30 they are free to establish and run their institutions, collect fees and make appointments of qualified men and women as stipulated by law. Minority certificates are issued by the Commission.

Greeting in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are very happy to inform you that an important meeting of the
Christian Education Institutions of Jabalpur is to be held on the 25th of February 2003, Tuesday, at 5'0 Clock at M.G.M. ,
School, HathitaI, Near Mess Court, Gupteshwar Road, Jabalpur. This meeting is organised by Rev. Fr. Saji K. Matthews, I
(Principal M.G.M. School, Jabalpur) and Mr. Francis Joseph (Journalist and Secretary, M.P. Christian Writer's Forum, ,
Jabalpur).
Sir, as your already know,the Christian Institutions (Educational and Religious) of Jabalpur have been facing,
several problems at different times. In mutual conversation on such occasions, a need was and for an organisation which
will try to sort out such problems. You care cordiaIly invited in this meeting so that we could-come together and talk on this
vital matter to fill up this gap. We hope to get your blessing's and cooperation which would prove very fruitful in strengtening the Christian Educational Institutions of Jabalpur so that they could work in unity for the development of our two
Points for discussion: 1. Mutual Introduction, 2. Formation of an organisation of Christian Educational Institution. 3. To
form an Adhoc Committee.. 4. Regarding mutual problems. .

REPORT OF THE MEETING HELD FOR THE FORMATION OF AN ASSOCIATON OF THE
CHRISTIAN EDUCATIONAL INSTITITUTION JABALPUR |
A meeting regarding the subject mentioned above was held at the auditorium of M.G.M. Higher Secondary School
on the 25th of February 2003. The meeting attended by the various heads of the Christian institutions of Jabalpur was
presided over by Rev. Bishop Sunil Cak (CNI, Jabalpur Diocese) Rev. B!shop threwlight on the need of the formation of
an association which would cater the need of all the Christian Institution of Jabalpur and spread the essence of the love of Christ. Mr. Francis Joseph of the M.P. Christian Writer's Forum explained the benefits of such an association and pledged all support from the Forum. Fr. Panka Toppo (Director, XIDAS), Rev. John R Simeon (D.S. Methodist Church, Jabalpur), Rev. U.K. Singh (Secretary, Bible Society of India) also acknowleged the need of the formation of an association.
In order to facilitate the formation of the said assocation, an adhoc committee was formed with the following
members :

(Secretary, M.P. Christian Writers' Forum), Rev. U.K. Singh (Secretary, Bible Society), Mr. Mathew (Mathoma

A meeting of the adhoc committee wad decided to be held at the residence of Ms. Esther Singh. Mr. Francis Joseph was authorized to do the needful for the arrangement of the said meeting.
The next general meeting was decided to be held at Leonard Higher Secondary School at Denning Road, Civil lines, Jabalpur, on the 24th of March (Monday 2003 at 5.00 p.m. Fr. Saji K. Mathew and Mr. Francis Joseph were thanked for taking the primary initiative for arranging the meeting. "
